Development of project specifications, data sheets, engineering design documentation, instrument schedules, etc. (2020).

Project engineering, man-hour estimates, vendor management, engineering work packs, engineering deliverables technical approval, construction/commissioning technical support, HAZOP attendance, generation of technical notes/proposals, etc. (2018 - 2019).

Coordination of drilling E, C & I commissioning works (onshore & offshore). Including vendor supervision, operations liaison, software configuration management strategy, & commissioning procedures development (South Korea & UK, 2011 - 2018).

Commissioning of drilling VFD switchboards, and LV electrical switchgear, including PLC and MV inverter software and hardware modifications (South Korea, 2010 - 2011).

Production of requirement specifications and up-revision of plant control narratives to reflect new control system architecture scheme (2010).

Installation of new Triconnex Safety Instrumented System and Honeywell Experion system, replacing obsolete equipment. Project engineering, vendor management, construction/commissioning technical support, HAZOP attendance (2009).

Development of application software, and UCP design, for various Howden gas compressor applications, on various hardware platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens & Modicon). Production of associated technical documentation (2007 - 2008).

Identification of cable management and implementation strategy for 'cut over' of Exxon Mobil Fife Ethylene Plant’s Modicon PLC control systems to Triconnex TMR safety systems (2006).

Development of application software for packaged MV3000 propulsion drives. Alstom Marine Controller (AMC) & Wago I/O hardware platform, with application code produced within IsaGraf programming software (circ. 2004).

Development of PLC & SCADA application software for Rig's main control system (GE Fanuc 90-30 redundant PLC platform). (circ. 2003).

Development of Allen Bradley PLC-5 application software & project documentation for new fuel plant site (2001 - 2002).

Software development and site commissioning of various ac & dc drilling systems (configuration of PLC networks, parameterisation of ac/dc drives, control loop tuning, mud pumps desynchronisation, power management, torque transfers, etc.). (1999 - 2005).

GEM80 PLC system upgrade, with the addition of an InFix SCADA workstation, at Torness Nuclear Power Station (circ. 1998).

Design and testing of the channel ‘L’ & ‘B’ hard-wired relay protection logic cubicles for the new IFD1 cell at Torness (circ. 1996).
